This castle, since the 14th century owned by the royal house of Ligne, is open ten days a year for the public and guests. Ludwig & Co. is in charge of the Hippeastrum show, which takes place for the 16th time every first week of May. On 29-4-2005 the Hippeastrum show was opened with the baptism of a new amaryllis by the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. This amaryllis has been named after her: Grande-Duchesse Maria Teresa. It is a seedling of Royal Velvet. |
